Well-known Canadian eatery Moxie’s Grill & Bar is heading to Mary Brickell Village in early February. The chain, which boasts 60 locations in our neighbor to the north, along with three locations in Texas, will set up shop right below longstanding Blue Martini (900 South Miami Avenue).

Best described as an upscale sports bar and restaurant, the Miami location will feature more than 20 TVs to watch games on the large bar serving as the central focus of the space. The interior will be outfitted with wood and marble features and accents, while the outdoor wraparound patio will seat 150 and wrap around a longstanding Banyan tree. A section of the patio will have the option of being closed off for a private groups as well.

As for dining, of course the classic Canadian dish of poutine can be found on the menu. Other “globally inspired” items off the massive menu include everything from sushi cones, to a one-pound serving of cheese nachos, an assortment of salads, burgers, a variety of steaks, main courses like mahi mahi and baby back ribs, and sandwiches like French dips. On the weekends guests also can dine on brunch items like salmon and avocado bagels, huvos rancheros, French toast, and a brunch burger.

The extensive food menu is paired with an extensive drink menu. everything from Moscow mules and gin and tonics, to eight different variations of the margarita. A large selection of draft and bottle beers, wines, juices, and coffees will also be served. Plus, happy hour will be offered every weekday from 3 to 6 p.m. daily with $5 wines, $8 cocktails, and $6-8 bites.
